Does Radiation From CT Scan Cause Complications In Getting Pregnant?

Question: Hello, I had a chest CT scan with IV contrasttoday for a bump on my collarbone. My husband and I are trying to conceive and have been unsuccessful thus far. I am due to ovulate in 10 days so I am early in this cycle. They used a lead cover for my uterus and ovaries but I am still a little concerned. Should we postpone trying to concieve this month or will the risk of potential radiation related defects have gone by then?
Brief Answer:
Safe to continue
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic.
You can safely continue to try this cycle. Since you have not ovulated yet, the radiation will not harm your baby if conceived.
You can go ahead and try safely to conceive. Don't worry about radiation effect.
