Does Relaxing And Or Slow Breathing Cause The Pulse To Weaken?
please see below
Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
By "weak pulse" do you mean a slower pulse (that is lesser rate per minute) or a lower volume pulse.
Normally, inhalation is associated with higher pulse rate but lower volume and exhalation is associated with lower pulse rate and higher volume, but these are not appreciable on bed side in most patients.
Since pulse rate and volume are goverened by many similar confounding factors, it is difficult to make a rule. Like if you have acute asthamatic attack your breathing will be heavy your pulse will be fast and will be good volume. If someone is sleeping and has slower breathing rate, the pulse may also be slower but will be good volume.
Please discuss further with more details.
Sincerely
