Does Repeated Stress Cause A Change In The Density Of The Bones?
Question: I have read that when mechanical stess is placed on a bone, your body will make that bone thicker in response. Can I make the bones in my face and jaw bigger by putting weight on them? Also, I am 32 years old, does that effect bone health?
Brief Answer:
No studies support your claim
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
The stress needs to be constant in order to inside change in the remodelling of Bone according to Wolfe law.
There have been no studies that support the assumption that putting weight on jaw bones would make them bigger.
Bone health should be quite good at your age. Nothing to worry.
