Question: MY WIFE HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH MULTIPLE SYSTEM ATROPHY. SHE IS CURRENTLY TAKING AMANTADINE, MIRPEX. SHE IS COMPLETLY LISTLESS AND DOESN'T WANT TO EAT. SHOULD I TAKE HER TO A HOSPITAL?

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern for your wife.

If her vital parameters (blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature and breathing) are normal(you have to take help of some paramedical staff to measure these vitals if you cannot), you can wait until her scheduled appointment on XXXXXXX 1.

However if you feel she is not taking any fluid or meal and her vitals are nor within normal limit, you can take her to hospital.
