Does Rope Skipping Interfere With Conceiving?
it is safe when you are not pregnant to reduce weight only..explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for contacting health care magic for an opinion.
If you are hypothyroid and overweight, both at the same time are deterrents to pregnancy cause possible difficulty in conception. The success of conception depend on the regularity of cycles, regular ovulation, controlled weight, controlled thyroid status and of course an adequate sperm count with correctly timed intercourse practices in tandem with ovulation.
I hoe that your thyroid status is well controlled and your cycles are regular. It is indeed a goo practice to reduce weight before trying to conceive as it decreases the insulin resistance and allows healthy ovulation.
Your concern about skipping is harmless, as in you can definitely practice skipping to reduce weight but you have to be careful once you have conceived and also during the post ovulation period when fertilization would occur, it is then that jumps and jerks should ideally be avoided to allow proper implantation of the embryo to the uterine endometrial lining.
It would be a good practice if you get an initial pelvic ultrasound done to rule out any polycyctic ovarian syndrome showing polycystic ovaries or any uterine polyps which may hinder pregnancy. Also a basal hormonal profile would be definitely an advantage to look for any progesterone deficiency or abnormal thyroid TSH and prolactin levels.
I hope i have answered your query in detail,
wishing you luck,
