Brief Answer:
if reflux severe

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Reflux , unless it is very severe, should not affect your breathing because it is a condition mainly of the gastrointestinal tract.

In some persons, the reflux liquid can cause coughing or if the pain related to the reflux is severe/significant, it may be affecting your breath sounds (persons in severe pain may have issues with their breathing especially in conditions like reflux where the pain is in the chest).

If there is pain on taking a deep breath then this may be due to mild irritation along the chest wall, unfortunately the medication that would be most helpful for this , would aggravate your reflux so paracetamol would be best.

If you find that you are short of breath (breathing quickly) then this may be related to an issue of the lungs or heart or due to low blood count (anemia) or anxiety.
The physical causes (heart, lung or anemia), would need to be ruled out.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
