Brief Answer:
Vey unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Heralthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Smoking cigarettes can cause loss of hairs but the possibility for eye lash loss is very low if any. The most cases of eye lash loss result form local infection, hyperactive immune system (some autoimmune disorders which strike often between 20-40 years of age), physical trauma and excessive stress.

Since it can cause hair loss and other complications it is important to quit smoking as soon as possible.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.

I do not think we can make straight line between smoking and loss of eye lashes. As stated above loss of eye lashes is caused by many conditions and smoking could be one among them, it is advisable to stop smoking.

Over the progress of time it will be clear that the loss of eyelashes was associated or not with smoking, as eyelash loss due to smoking will revert back while there will be minimal effect in conditions other than smoking.

I hope this helps you.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.

The chances are good provided the smoking was only cause for loss of eye lashes in your case. There is good data to suggest that detrimental effects of smoking get reversed once the person becomes completely abstinent from smoking.

Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
