Does Smoking Marijuana Cause Lymphoma?
Question: Hello my name is XXXXXXX 22 years old ,I recently had a ct scan with contrast the impressions were large mediastinal and bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy says findings are highly suspicious for a malignant neoplastic process such as lymphoma .ive been very stressed out and won't know the True results until a biopsy is done just wondering if I were to smoke marijuana would this have a bad affect on my already swollen lymph nodes would it irritate them more ? Thanks
Brief Answer:
should not be a problem
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question
Although doctors usually do not recommend smoking marijuana, I can not see that it would harm you in the short term. I definitely do not think it would cause more irritation to your lymph nodes. I understand your concern and hope that you will do everything possible to stay positive until you know what you are dealing with. Even if it is something like lymphoma there are excellent treatments for that and great hope that you will make a full recovery.
Wishing the best to you.
