Question: Hello Doctor,
I am xxxxxxxxxxxx and 63. Probably because of excessive stress and worry there is an excess of gas development which before to realize and eliminate it trough the mouth probably puts pressure on the hart and I start to experience irregular hart bit which disappear when the gases disappear.
The missing hart bit is quit scary. I use reflexology and positive mental attitude to combat the stress.
I use dance and walking to reduce the stress. My heart loves physical exercise and relaxes.
Would you please give me some suggestions.

Bowel upset is common in the setting of anxiety and mental disturbances. Based upon the description, your symptoms are most probably due to irritable bowel syndrome..
You should stay calm and continue with your routine chores.
You need to adopt certain dietary modifications like decreasing fast food and adding more fibre to your diet. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
I would really want to add antispasmodics like mebeverine, along with Omeprazole ....
Amtiryptyline will greatly reduce your mental symptoms.
I will get your FBC, ESR,liver function tests and stool analysis...
I will look for response, if there is no response and you are loosing wt. Then endoscopy and colonoscopy will be right options.
