Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
In moderation, vitamin C tablets hardly have an added risk on dentition under normal physiological conditions.
Vitamin C strengthens gums and prevents gingivitis but as it is chemically an acid -Ascorbic acid,it might be destructive to tooth enamel and may cause tooth decay, erosion and cavities.
Chew-able Tablets are more notorious in doing so because they are in contact with the teeth for long periods.
You should switch over to pills instead of chew-able tablets (If at all you are taking the chew-able ones) and always rinse the mouth after taking Vitamin C to clear all residues from the teeth.
The tooth decay is also augmented in people with calcium and phosphorus deficiency so have more of them in your diet.
Saliva has an alkaline Ph and neutralizes the acid attack of Vitamin C so it is good to chew sugar free gums after taking Chew able Vitamin C.
Hope that I have answered your Query.
Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.

Does drinking beer once in a month has any effect on teeth?

Does drinking beer once in a month has any effect on teeth?
Brief Answer:
In moderation, vitamin C tablets hardly have an added risk on dentition
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Just like vitamin C, the acidic contents of beer may cause structural damage to tooth enamel and an increased teeth discolouration, sensitivity and decay.
These harmful effects have been seen with excess consumption of beer as beer has a lower alcohol content as compared to other alcoholic beverages.
Happy living.
