Does Taking Birth Control Pill Affect Implantation?

Question: I stopped taking the minipill and may have just conceived within the past day or so. I have other children and have always gotten pregnant the first time I've tried. I'm actually on vacation in London with my boyfriend and am having second thoughts about if I want to get pregnant; not sure. My question is, if I start retaking the pill like normal and fertilization has already happened, would it stop implantation from happening?
I understand there are emergency "day after pills", my question is in regards to the progesterone only pill and it's affect after fertilization only. Since I am not sure if I want to be pregnant and start taking the pill again, would it harm the pregnancy if fertilization did take place? I'm not asking about trying to terminate, just the pills effects after egg has been fertilized, before implantation. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Possible harm to pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns about minipill.
These pills contains synthetic progesterones. Hence if you start them again now after gap there will be no contraceptive benefit ( especially if fertilization has already occurred).Hence it cannot prevent implantation from happening.
These are not considered safe for the pregnancy if occurred as you suspect. These tablets have male hormone like effect and known to have effects like excessive hair growth etc...
FDA does not recommend these tablets to women who are pregnant. Hence I suggest you dont take these minipill tablets now
