Question: Hi, they keep closing the thread for some reason.

Bloating still remains, I will attach pictures

I need to up my calories now because I'm already losing lots of weight and muscle on arms and legs, but the stomach remains the same size if not bigger now.

I've tried lowering my calories for several weeks now to less than 2000 calories, I've lost muscle and mass on arms, back, legs shoulders, but not stomach. Stomach remains very bloated all the time.

I'm also taking daily probiotics and ginger tea, to try and improve digestion but nothing is working. I have regular bowl movements still, daily.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It's potted belly.
Clear cut potted belly.
Individuals who consume high-fat and high-calorie foods and lead generally sedentary lifestyles are likely to develop excess fat on the body, including around the abdomen, where it may appear as a pot belly. Some individuals are genetically predisposed to storing fat around their midsection.
But as per your history you are working out regularly.
Few questions are you alcoholic or any other sort of medications tried like anabolic steroids etc?
What are the supplements tried by you till date.

And I would like you to go for an ultrasound of your liver and abdomen to rule out any major ongoing hidden problem.
Waiting.

The confusing part is, it happened very, very quickly.

I never had any sign of a belly like this, and then within about 1-2 weeks it suddenly appeared, and wouldn't go away despite me cutting my calories way back down to losing weight calories

It also feels hard, and not soft like belly fat.

And I don't drink alochol or take steroids or anything like that and neither does my family really

Supplements I take are very basic, omega 3, vitamin D, multivitamin, magnesium/zinc, probiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hi as this happened over just 2 weeks I would suggest you to go for an ultrasound of abdomen to rue out any other pathology causing potting of belly.
And follow up with report plus liver kidney function tests should be done.
Thanks

Ok, thank you. Ultrasound booked. Anything specific to ask or look for? Or will they know and tell me what I need to know?

Can liver and kidney function tests be done at home?
