Does Temporary Distortion In The Peripheral Vision Of The Right Eye Require Immediate Medical Attention?

Question: I'm a 41 year old male and sitting on the couch when about 15% of my peripheral vision on the right side of the right eye when somewhat distorted or wavy. After 10 minutes it was down to about 5% Should I go to the emergency room to check this? I feel absolutely fine otherwise.

Possible conditions that may cause such issues are eye muscles strained, migraine (aura), and, transient ischemic attack.

A transient ischemic attack is accompanied by other symptoms such as temporary limb paralysis, speech issues, etc., so, it remains a rare possible condition in your case, thus I don't think it is necessary for you to rush to your ER.

However, a scheduled evaluation by your GP and probably by an Ophthalmologist is necessary to understand better your condition.

IF the situation repeats again, or you notice new symptoms, in such case you should go to your ER.
