Does This Look Tonsillitis Or Maybe A Tonsil Abscess?
I have tonsil stones and tried getting one
Out with a now my ear hurts and tonsil a little.
Mild congestion of the tonsils noted
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting the query.
Have examined all the images that you have posted, and I am of the opinion that there is mild congestion of both the tonsils at present. I don’t see any sign of infection or absence or tonsil stones at present.
The pain in the ear could be a referred pain either due to congestion of the tonsils or Laryngopharyngeal reflux secondary to acid reflux from the stomach.
Do not worry with the symptomatic medications and the lifestyle management. The problems can be solved.
My advice to you is:
1. Drink frequent sip of lukewarm water.
2. Avoid chilled food and beverages.
3. Avoid coffee or smoking, if any.
4. You may require anti-inflammatory medicine, such as diclofenac or ibuprofen for a couple of days along with a proton inhibitor, such as pantoprazole or esomeprazole.
5. With these above measures, you should get better soon.
I hope this answers your query. Revert if you have any further doubt.

You should take the medications for at least a fortnight
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for responding.
There are several reasons why the tonsils may get congested:
1. Local infection
2. Breathing through the mouth as a result of nasal congestion, blockage, or infection
3. The condition known as acid reflux
4. Allergies, etc.
Only in cases of nasal congestion and dryness would saline nasal drops or spray be helpful.
Motrin and esomeprazole can be taken for two weeks, after which any improvement can be monitored. You should sip lukewarm water frequently in the interim. Gargle your throat with warm water after eating to help get rid of any food particles lodged in the tonsillar crypts.
I hope this clarifies your question; Wish you a good health
