Does Tingling Sensation In Arms Indicate Cervical Spinal Stenosis?
Question: I am experiencing ting line from top of my right arm down through my hand. It is becoming chronic. I also have stenosis on my right side. Can the two be related?
Brief Answer:
yes, it depends on how much the stenosis is
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
welcome to HCM.
If you meant stenosis of cervical canal, yes the symptoms of tingling around one arm is relevant. It all depends on how much the stenosis is in the spinal canal, presence or absence of disc disease, osteophytes, ligament thickening etc.
At the moment, your symptoms seem to be coming from cervical(neck) nerve compression (Brachial plexus), as you have been having tingling since some time. You need further evaluation to rule out the aforesaid possibilities which will guide the treatment.
Consulting a Neurosurgeon is the best option for you.
