Does Treatment Will Clear Schistosoma Form Brain ?
Question: hello i asked you question about Acute schistosomiasis
im asking you one more time to be 100 % sure
So with appropriate treatment mortality is close to 0 %
and as in literature said:
1. Acute Schistosomiasis, or Katayama fever,36 can increase the mortality rate by up to 25%
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC0000/
It is only when no treatment or very late treatment ?
2, schistosomiasis could be located in brain but it
Autopsy studies in endemic areas showed Schistosoma species in more than 28% of the examined brains
but very rare Cerebral schistosomiasis is rare !
So Schistosoma in brain very rare cause problems !
Is it so ? And treatment will clear Schistosoma form brain ?
Thank you
