Does Using Miralax Increase Acne ?

Question: My daughter has been using miralax and since then her acne has gotten worse and nothing seems to be helping clear it up. Could miralax be the problem?

Hello and welcome here,

Since the acne worsened after starting miralax, it is quite possible that miralax is making it worse. If she stops using miralax and acne start improving, then it is definitely the cause. Usually side effects disappear within 2-3 weeks after stopping the medicine. Sometimes it may take months or may not recover completely.

Avoid using chemicals on the skin to avoid development of sensitive skin. You may upload a photo of the rash here for better diagnosis.
