Brief Answer:
Please answer the following questions...
Detailed Answer:
1. Are you concerned that you DID break the hymen and are worried because you did not want to?
2. How far did you insert your finger?
3. Was there any vaginal bleeding?
Please clarify if there is more to the question. Some women are worried that this affects whether or not they are still a 'virgin'. I understand if you are concerned and can help you with a little clarification.

1 Yes I am worried because I didn't want to break it.
2 Half of my forefinger or even a bit more went there.
3 I didn't notice any bleeding but take into consideration that I was taking a shower and maybe water could flow it away.

Brief Answer:
You did not harm the hymen...
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the follow up information. There is absolutely no inconvenience and I am happy to help. First, what you experienced is completely normal. The warm water caused increased blood flow to the clitoral area and the vibration from the water not surprisingly produced the sensation that you experienced.
The hymen is a thin rim of skin just inside the vaginal opening. In some women, it can completely obstruct the opening, but in most cases, there is still an opening to the vagina. This is the case for you as you were able to insert your finger a small amount of the way into the vagina.
With intercourse for the first time, small tears to the hymen are extremely common and they almost always heal. With just a finger inserted, it will almost certainly NOT affect the hymen. Also, IF it did disrupt the hymen, it would continue to bleed even after the shower. Finally, based on the pictures, I believe that they hymen is intact.
The final thing that I will state is that everyone is different anatomically. You CANNOT look at the vagina and determine whether or not someone is a virgin or not in almost all cases. I have answered the question before of persons worried that they would not be perceived as virgins based on disruption of the hymen even though they had never had intercourse.
Does this help? Do you have more questions?

thank you so much for the answer, and one more thing that forgot to tell, after I inserted my finger there I felt the sensation of burning, it seemed something is burning there, could it be a symptom of the disruption of the hymen? thanks in advance !
Brief Answer:
I am sure that this is normal
Detailed Answer:
Given that this sensation occurred during maximum stimulation of the area, I am sure that it probably was just related to the situation that you described. It might also have been a reaction to soap or shampoo if that was present as well.
And no, this burning sensation would not be a sign of disruption of the hymen. Disruption of the hymen would almost invariably be associated with some amount of bleeding.

Doctor, I want to ask one more thing that is not somehow connected to the previous question.
I have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, I am sure you know its a type of mental disorder, now I want to ask you, if I start living with sexual life with a partner, may it somehow harm my neurotic system or it will even have positive influence? what you think about this? thanks in advance !

Brief Answer:
The bipolar disorder will still be the same
Detailed Answer:
Moving to a situation where you are sexually active and in a stable relationship will not lessen the problems related to bipolar disorder. This is a medical condition that involves changes in brain chemistry.
The worst mistake you could make would be to assume that these changes would improve the bipolar and make the wrong decision to go off of medications.
You definitely need to have a doctor, preferably an OB/GYN, to review the medications that you are on and, in particular, comment on which ones are safe with future pregnancy if you are considering starting a family.

I know that the medication I am taking currently is not possible to take while being pregnant (Risperidone 2mg), do you have any idea is it possible to find a medication that can do no harm to the child ? or I have to ask it to a OB/GYN doctor?
Brief Answer:
There are medications for pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Yes, there are other medications which would be more appropriate during a future pregnancy. Definitely schedule a visit with an OB/GYN for a pre-conception visit. This will put your mind at ease and be the best chance at a healthy pregnancy.
