Does Vaginal Susten 300 Softgel Extend Period Days?

Question: Hi I have been taking vaginal susten 300 softgel for the past 12days now prescribed by my gynaecologist for 20days .but my period was supposed to start yesterday (i have a good record of regular menstrual cycle )and I didn't get my periods till now. Should I stop susten to get my periods or should I continue with the medicine

I am 35 years old married for 3years with no kids. Trying really hard for a baby. Can I get period while having the medicine susten 300 and how will I tell if I am pregnant or not if it susten delays my period. Can I do the pregnancy test

Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting us about your health care.
I have gone through your history in detail and understand your concerns.
As per your description these symptoms could be due to hormonal changes ( caused by susten)but it could be due to pregnancy also( though the chances are very very low)
But as you missed your period it could be an anovulatory cycle( due to hormonal changes) or due to pregnancy ( if precum contain sperm)
You should go for home urine pregnancy test after 7days of your missed period date or blood beta hcg testing to rule out pregnancy right now.
If pregnancy is not there it could be due to hormonal imbalance and you can wait and watch for your menses and continue progesterone for withdrawal bleeding.
Get your thyroid profile and hemoglobin test also for any hormonal changes.

Then should I stop the susten 300 and get my urine tested or continue with susten and test my urine ?
My haemoglobin and thyroid tests came out normal(I did the test and my gynaecologist said so).
Please advise how I should do the test
