Question: i recently had blood drawn and my d3 was 17,could this be the cause of my anxiety and depression?

I read your question and i understand your concern. Anxiety and depresion has myriad of symptoms and causes for it and vitamin D 3 is one of them, there have been studies that have shown improvement of moods and depressive episodes after correction of vitamin D 3 levels. So yes low vitamin D levels may be the cause but not the only one. Talk to a psychotherapist, let them have some sessions, assess your symptoms and treat your accordingly. Eat foods rich in vitamin D and have calcium vitamin D supplementation .
