I havent been told though its a simple test. Its about 2 cm with free fluid in the cul de sac with thicking on thr left rim it was randomly seen in a CT scan was told to follow up by ultrasound. Does a CT scan not see everythjng?
Brief Answer:
follow up with ultrasound to monitor the status of cyst.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.
The management guidelines suggest that cysts (functional/simple) less than 5 cm wide, usually disappear on their own.
CT scan can see the things. But the follow-up by ultrasound is advised to know the status of cyst, whether it has increased in size. Ultrasound has been advised because it is easily available, cheaper, easy to do investigation and more importantly , it is sufficient enough to observe the status of cyst.
If possible kindly upload the CT scan findings.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Attached is my scan.
Brief Answer:
nothing to worry; follow-up with ultrasound at 3 months.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the reply.
In my opinion, the findings are not worrisome at present.
I would suggest a follow-up with ultrasound abdomen after 3 months to know the status.
