Does Warfarin Interact With Nandrolone And Synthroid?
I had a pacemaker placed on May 31st this year because the medication failed to control my Afib. Currently my big problems are severe weakness (I am bedridden) and poor appetite. Somebody suggested Nandrolone, which might improve both weakness and appetite. What is your opinion about using Nandrolone?
Yes, Nandrolene interacts with Warfarin.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing to XXXXXXX
Using warfarin together with nandrolone may cause you to bleed more easily. You may need a dose adjustment based on your prothrombin time or International Normalized Ratio (INR).
Regarding L-thyroxine (Synthroid) interaction with Warfarin - Increasing your thyroid hormone levels can sensitize you to the effects of warfarin, which may increase your risk of bleeding. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. On the other hand, no special precautions are necessary if you have been stable on levothyroxine therapy and are now starting treatment with warfarin.
I am not sure of the mushroom (Reishi) interaction with warfarin. But foods XXXXXXX in vitamin K may have an effect on warfarin metabolism and should be used with caution after consulting your treating physician. Vitamin K XXXXXXX foods are beef liver, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, collard greens, endive, XXXXXXX lettuce, mustard greens, parsley, soy beans, spinach, Swiss chard, turnip greens, watercress, green leafy vegetables , asparagus, avocados, dill pickles, green peas, green tea, canola oil, margarine, mayonnaise, olive oil, and soybean oil.
Yes, Nandroone is definitely indicated for chronic illnesses as it is an anabolic steroid. It reverses the catabolic processes and negative nitrogen balance by promoting protein anabolism and stimulating appetite. But it is not indicated in your case.
Hope I have addressed your query. I welcome any more clarifications
