Brief Answer:
Sub conjunctival hemorrhage in the left eye

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

I have examined the image thoroughly and I am of the opinion that it’s a sub conjunctival haemorrhage in the left eye.

This is quite common in people with increased blood pressure. Many a times, due to increased blood pressure early in the morning, the tiny blood vessels in the eye and elsewhere in the body gives away at its weakest point causing the capillary blood to spill in the surrounding region.

No intervention is required at the current juncture. It should clear off within a week.
1. You can continue to use the tear drops.
2. Ensure your blood pressure is under control.
3. Avoid frequent rubbing of the eyes.
4. If the haemorrhage is not subsiding you can definitely consult an apt ophthalmologist for a thorough examination and management.

Hope this answers your query. I would be available for the follow-up queries.

Brief Answer:
This is quite common is people who are having issues with increased BP

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome back

1. Do not worry! It is quite common in people who have issues with high blood pressure. The sub-conjunctival hemorrhage could happen irrespective of the cataract surgery.
2. Sub-conjunctival hemorrhage is usually self-limiting. Neither medications nor surgical intervention is required. The minimal hemorrhage would usually clear on it's own through body phagocytosis - it's a nature way of healing the body.
3. You can continue with the tear drops.
4. Avoid rubbing of the eye, violent coughing and excess straining.

Hope this clarifies your doubts. Wish you a speedy recovery.
