Dear Doc

Thank u for remembering me doctor. The situation is still the same the vision has gone worse. He cant see and he is still having pain in the arm where the stroke affected and head aches his BP is still going up. What can we do with the vision is he going to improve his sight?
Is there any medication he can take besides blood thinner. What advice can u give us . My family is in pain

Assessment of brain edema and treatment is necessary.

Hello,

Thanks for asking me directly.

In order to understand correctly the vision pathways involvement after the stroke, a brain MRI is necessary.

If there is evidence for brain edema that is compressing the brain tissue, it should be treated.

For this purpose, drugs such as mannitol, furosemide, dexamethasone, etc. may be necessary.

Symptomatic treatment of the pain with painkillers also should be continued.

Blood pressure should be maintained within normal ranges.

All these necessary treatments are easier to be applied in a hospital setting.

So, discuss with the Neurologist for these issues.
