Brief Answer:
can take stool softner...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through query and here is my advice.

As per your history, it may be due to tablet tramodol as constipation and stomach upset are the common side effects of tablet tramodol.

For that you can take stool softner tablet docusate sodium (Colace). I would suggest you to start with low dose 50 to 100 mg at night. You can increase the dose upto 300 mg per day as per response. It is available in both tablet and liquid form OTC. Watch for symptoms like diarrhoea, abdominal cramps...

Along with that, take diet rich in fiber, vegetable and fruits. Avoid bakery/fast/processed food. Keep yourself hydrated. Do regular exercise. Do regular follow up with surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query.
