Brief Answer:
A very mild post-viral reactive airway syndrome. Symptomatic treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
1. This is most likely a very mild post-viral reactive airway syndrome.
2. Supportive medication, such as dry cough syrup, anti-allergy medications, anti-reflux medications, and sometimes a small dose of steroids, lozenges, and steam inhalation will help decrease discomfort and clear this earlier.
3. These symptoms usually take up to 3-4 weeks to clear without treatment.
4. Follow a bland diet, with adequate hydration for a few days.
5. If this persists longer than a month, then get a Chest X-ray done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Details as discussed below:
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for following up.
1. Yes, gargling with warm salt water or a medicated oral rinse will help. An OTC (Over-the-counter) cold and cough remedy and paracetamol will help relieve the symptoms.
2. Liquids should be at body temperature or lukewarm.
3. The return of the sore throat feeling can be due to many reasons. Healing processes, recurrence, relapse, a new viral, secondary bacterial infection, and so on are some of the reasons. A direct examination of the throat will settle that and appropriate treatment can be started, if required by your local specialist.
4. These are common situations and are not a cause of concern.
