Due To Gastric Issue And Acidity Pantosec 40 Mg Along With Sporlac Ds Symptoms Reside For Few Hours, But Again Starts After 7-8 Hours Why This Condition ?
Question: I am hearing sudden noises in my stomach like in a mixie used for grinding, passing gas associated with loose stools since 3-4 days. I thought it is due to some acidity and started taking pantosec 40 mg along with sporlac Ds once a day before food. I have also taken ORS L for tiredness, however the symptoms reside for few hours, but again starts after 7-8 hours with the same noises inside my stomach with feeling like passing gas and then loose stools along with gas. I don't understand why this condition.
Please help me know what issue is and help me with the remedy.

Hi,
This seems to be indigestion to some type of food. But I will first like to rule out other common causes. So kindly get 3 tests done:
- one is stool for examination, culture and sensitivity, ova and parasites
- Blood test for typhidot
- ultrasound of whole abdomen.
Antibiotics will be needed if culture comes back positive.
Kindly get back with reports.

Mam my symptoms of loose stool and noise have come down, however have started getting severe heartburn due to acidity which I can feel, especially during night. Please let me know if investigation is still needed, else what medication is needed. I have stopped all medicines like pantosec and sporlac.

Acidity could be a rebound acidity due to stopping antacid Pantosec. You can take Syrup Digene 1tsp before meals and before sleeping to counter the acid. Investigations are not needed currently, since symptoms of infection are gone.
