Ear Fungus, Double Ear Infection, Swollen Glands, Pressure On Ears

Question: Was treated for ear fungus for several months. Then developed double ear infection. completed 10 days of antibiotics however glands on both sides and on the back of my neeck are still swollen and ears have lot of pressure. Dr. checked and said infection seemed to be gone. What next?
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
After the infection clears, the neck glands might remain swollen for upto two weeks after which they usually subside. The glands do take some time to subside. The pressure in the ears may be attributed to the blocked ears due to the wax. You can add a few drops of olive oil into your ears to relieve the pressure.
If the neck glands do not subside in next two weeks then they need to be investigated with FNAB to look for the cause. There are many causes of lymph node swellings apart from infection.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. If there are additional concerns, I am available for your followups.
Regards.
