I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Tinnitus can be quite annoying, I know.

When did this problem start?
Is it present in both ears or only one side?
Is there any difficulty in hearing?

Tinnitus can be from a variety of causes. Common ones are impacted wax, blocked nose, eustachian tube dysfunction, high blood pressure or drug induced. Here, we have removed any wax, your blood pressure is normal and none of the drugs mentioned(Tylenol PM, statin) causes tinnitus as a side effect. SO we have to find out the cause and treat accordingly. Sometimes this happens as a part of age related changes in ear(presbycusis) or from diseases of middle ear or internal ear also.

Persistent or annoying tinnitus needs detailed evaluation to find out the cause and be treated accordingly. So kindly consult an ENT specialist for the same. Drugs like Nortriptylin(an anti depressant) can offer good symptomatic relief until a cause is established, but this is a prescription drug. Your doctor will guide you
