Brief Answer:
Do not take these symptoms lightly...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I prefer neosporin over mupirocin since the former is bactericidal agent. You may try this OTC preparation currently. However it is important to understand what caused these problem in the first place. It may be related to skin inflammation (dermatitis), soft tissue infection (cellulitis) or venous insufficiency. Further more, the weeping wound and blisters may become turn infectious without oral antibiotic (which are prescription medications).

Therefore as you consider OTC option, I will urge you not to ignore the current problem. Visit your doctor for careful physical examination and tests. Prescription antibiotic works much better than OTC options.

Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.
