Feeling Baby Moving But Tests Negative, Had Bladder Problems, Mental Health Decreasing. Can It Happen?

Question: my partner is 36 and was sterilsed 12 years ago. She had her period for definate up to april when she moved out so not sure since. she has done 5 negative tests but says the baby is moving and says the doctor agrees. she had an XXXXXXX from bladder problems 2 months ago and it was never mentioned then at all( makes me think she is lying) i think her mental health is decreasing and this is all fantasy. How do i know? can it happen ? could she get pregnant after being sterilised and having periods. apparently she was at the hospital today in a an e going into labour? surely she would be in maternity not a ane
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After sterlization, pregnancy is a remote possibility due to spontaneous recanalization.
If she had her normal periods till April, then pregnancy with fetal movements now is not likely.
To know for sure, you can get her ultrasound scan done to find out any problem in the lower abdomen.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

Hi
My partner has undiagnosed bipolar she sepnds up to 7 days at a time locked in the bedroom and then weeks of not sleeping and just being manic. it has definatley got a lot worse in the last 3 months. we have spoken to our doctor and my partner seemed on board with facing it but then she just got angrier and angrier. there is no reality there she hates every1 and keeps promising the kids holidays new cars etc when none of it is possible. i am so sure that this is fantasy in her head and she is really poorly. i cant get near her without a ton of abuse and screaming and shouting. which i want to avoid. could the bipolar have brought about this make believe pregnancy that she really believes. if she is pregnant it could not possibly be mine maybe that could be affecting her mental state? please advise

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Yes, a bipolar disorder can make her believe to be pregnant while actually there is no such things. Sometimes such strong beliefs are associated with lack of periods too.
To confirm the fact, an ultrasound scan is necessary.
Cognitive and behavioural therapies along with medicines show good response in such cases which you can plan in consultation with her psychiatrist.
Hope my answer is helpful.

hi
sorry for continual questions but i cant get my head around it. my partner moved out about 8 weeks ago but befor that we were inseperable so even the chance off being in a situation to get pregnant is remote. my partner was sterilesed in 2000 she then had her L5 removed in 2005 which has left her disabled. she is on higher rate mobility. she is also on dihydrocodeine a high dose. duloxatine, pregabaline, and stool softening tablets. AND MAYBE I THINK ITS AMATRIPTALINE as well. the bipolar has taken hold. when she had her XXXXXXX for bladder problems the specialist said she had prolapsed womb bladder and bowel. she suffers from alot of symptoms relating to this and has always struggled to have full penatrative sex. she leaks urine alot due to this and was crying tears of XXXXXXX after the XXXXXXX as they promised to help her.
she also did a urine sample at the XXXXXXX which would surley have shown up if she was pregnant. when she gets manic the back pain seems to decrease and even the leaking and constipation dont seem to bother her when normally all these things rule our life.
i suppose i am asking your personal and professional opinion.
From the info i have provided does this sound more like a manic bipolar person living in her own fantasy world of pregnancy ( her constipation could and has before been mistaken for being pregnant) or could it be that whilst manic she cheated and became pregnant which in the early days caused womb bladder and bowel to prolapse and it turned caused leakage and constipation.
id say it was probably around xmas that the constipation got worse and she had stool softening pills that seemed to help. the leaking seemed to get worse around october as her back pain was playing up. we have been in and out of the hospital for back related issues since i met her. she gets headaches migranes bloating heartburn she has no feeling in her feet and a fallen arch from the L5 surgery. she gets pins and needles regularley in her legs and i often have to massage her back whilst she is crying out in pain after standing for to long.
in my mind if she is genuinly 5 months pregnant the combination of the triple prolapse and the constant back pain and related issues plus the mood changes and hormones associated with pregnancy and bipolar would have her bedbound and in agony. where as if she was having a full blown manic episode she would be behaving, well like she is.
im genuinly concerned for either A her mental health and mental state if manic or B if she is pregnant i worried for her and the babies health as she is still on all the medication and has yet not been to the doctors or the midwife. please advise

Hello.
From the elaborate description, the likelihood of pregnancy is less. If she has been examined for a bladder prolapse, then any change in the uterine size would have been detected.
She is possibly imagining her pregnancy but a detailed examination is needed to confirm this.
Take care.
