Feeling Dizzy And Tired When Having Low Blood Pressure. Can Arrhythmias Cause This?
Question: Hi, if your blood pressure is normally 120/75 - 130/80 and it drops down to 107/56 or 102/68 or 96/67. Can it cause you to feel dizzy and very tired? Because that's what happens to me. Even when I'm standing or sitting. Can arrhythmia's cause this?
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
If you are having a BP of 120/75 or 130/80 and then it drops to low levels in short time,it can cause dizziness and feeling of tiredness but if somebody has his BP around lower levels,as mentioned by you,all most all times, then it won't cause my problem
Low BP is called if it falls below 90/60.
For arrythmias to occur you should have different symptoms.
I hope it helps however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Hi, thank you for your reply. My cardiologist suspects that I have a arrhythmia. I get chest pains, palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigued, dizzy, fullness in my chest and throat, and almost fainted one time. These symptoms are on a daily basis and they come and go through out the day up to 20-50 times a day! I asked those questions earlier because I checked my blood pressure when I feel dizzy and sometimes my blood pressure drops like 20 points or more in a short period. I was reading the different types of arrhythmia and it sounds a lot like supra-ventricular Tachycardia. I caught my pulse doing 116 BPM while I was sitting doing nothing for 5 minutes. Then goes back to normal. My blood pressure is all over the place. I get all these symptoms regardless of sitting or standing. Can you give me your opinion on what kind of arrhythmia?
Hello,
Reading your symptoms now,it appears that it may be a arrythmia as suspected by your cardiologist.
You are very right that it could be supra ventricular tachycardia.
Some types of arrythmia are more common in children and young adults.
Paroxysmal supra ventricular tachycardia ( PSVT ) is more common in young adults.
Consult your cardiologist and get yourself tested for it.
Thanks
