Brief Answer:
MRI shows degenerative changes of intertarsal joints.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached MRI scan report. The report is suggestive of soft tissue injury and degenerative changes of intertarsal joints. Non weight bearing can help in reducing the pain and pressure on the area and thus help in healing. Since the joint changes are chronic these are not likely to improve much without a rest to the area. Hence your podiatrist has advised you rest for 6 weeks.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Regular anti anti inflammatory pain killers will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You have already tried all the available modalities. Non weight bearing can help in decreasing pain to some extent. Mid foot fusion is an option but it will restrict your foot movements. Regular anti inflammatory pain killers can be of help.

I have been on anti inflammatories for months now. So I’ll send you the previous mri I have so you can compare them. It’s been 10 months and I have been in pain and unable to bare weight or walk normal and unable
To work as an RN. I have read that mid foot fusions don’t affect the movement too much because that part of the foot doesn’t move much it’s mostly the weight bearing area. Is that not true! I have heard they are great for pain and being able to walk again

Brief Answer:
Mid foot fusion will help in weight bearing.

Detailed Answer:
I have seen the previous MRI scan report. The present report shows more degenerative changes and the intertarsal joints are more affected now. Mid foot fusion will not affect walking but can affect the squatting and other foot related activities like skating or running. It will not affect your work as an RN.
It is best to go with your orthopedician's advice as he has clinically examined you also.
Regards.
