For A Year, My Face Has Been Very Hypersensitive. I’ve
Question: For a year, my face has been very hypersensitive. I’ve only been washing my face with water and moisturizing with La Roche Posay Toleraine Moisturizer made for sensitive skin, as I’ve been using it since 2014.
October, November and December, the hypersensitized feeling lessened and decreased. But now January, February and March, my skin has become extremely dry and hypersensitized again. I still only wash with water and moisturize. Nothing harsh.
The redness has gradually gotten worse. It’s down by my chin area. I was looking online and was wondering does it look like seborrheic dermatitis?

Brief Answer:
Regarding red patches
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and viewed the images.
I can see red patches on sides of chin and some redness on sides of nose. It could be seborrheic (usually itchy and dry flaky) or it could be perioral dermatitis (redness with bumps)or rosacea( redness and flushing of centrofacial skin) I suggest you to avoid repeated washing. Just wash twice daily. Use a mild topical steroid like hydrocortisone 1%acetate cream twice daily for red patches, twice daily
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
