For How Long Is The Rabipur Injection Effective?
Question: I was bitten by a dog and I have taken all the five doses but after 12 days of fourth injection and 2 days before the fifth injection I was bitten again by a stray dog and again after 7 days of fifth injection again I was bitten after that I have taken another injection after 14 days of fifth injection .
Total I have taken 6 injections
0 3 7 14 28 42 RABIPUR
I am in great tension and anxiety
Do I need more doses
Help me sir

In general if the bite was low risk you don't need any further vaccines.
However if the bite was high risk that is involving deep cuts then you should go ahead for Rabies immunoglobulin.

Hi, In that case, you should get your Rabies antibodies done and if they are in normal range, then you just need to carry on with precautions with dog bite and in case they are low, you would need to get yourself further vaccinated.
