Question: For several days, I become suddenly thirsty . My mouth goes dry I'm driving home, none it looks familiar, but I am making the correct turns and wondering is this the way home? I get easily distracted with my thoughts. Is it like an early sign of a stroke? One time I was backing out of the driveway and I couldn't remember which button to push to make the side Mirror move. I had been touching that button every time I back out of my driveway. I opened my driver's door as to do something different I thought it might help. I remembered soon after opening my door. This hasn't happened again.

I think the thirst and the forgetfulness and lack of concentration you are experiencing may be caused by diabetes.
Constant elevated glucose levels cause changes in small vessels and changes in brain structure and function .
Another possibility is the atherosclerosis of small vessels of brain, fat accumulation in blood vessels walls cause narrowing of lumen and impairment in perfusion of brain.
You may need to check the blood sugar levels, fasting, post prandial and HbA1c.
Also an MRI of brain may be needed to evaluate the situation.
