Frequent Urination. Active In Sports. No Other Problems. What Is The Solution?

Question: why does my 6 year old son urinate at times in bed at night. He wears a diaper every night. He is very active in sports. He is on a track, swimming, baseball, soccer and football team. He is active in school and seems to have problems in school with his activity level.
Brief Answer:
Can be normal until age 7 yr
Detailed Answer:
Urinary continence often is set by age 3. In some cases, it’s normal to get delayed to a XXXXXXX age 7 years.
Children having frequent urine infections, developmental delay, behavior issues often have it delayed. Rarely the problem is with nerve or muscle.
In your case it may be likely possible to get him controlled by timetable adjustment and having less liquid diet at night.
Infection needs to be investigated and tackled with antibiotics, as it is a commoner cause.
Behavior, sleep, emotional, and personality issues need counseling by a child psychologist. For resistant cases, there are many options from devices to medicines.
Please let me know if any further doubts.
