Friday Night I Went To Some Crowded Bars With Friends.

Question: Friday night i went to some crowded bars with friends. Saturday I woke with a dry sore throat, no mucus, just scratchy. sunday i woke up with the sore throat and lots if mucus drainage and feverish feelings, i also got chills and felt weak. yesterday my sore throat felt less mucusy and i only experienced feberish feelings in the morning. This morning, my sore throat is still active but i feel so much less weak and have not experienced any chills or feverish sweats. should i still go to the doctor to get tested for Corona Virus or Flu? i really do feel better and can control my coughing so i can rest my throat.
Brief Answer:
No I don't think so
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in Ask the Doctor
I can understand your concern about COVID 19
However if you feel better today and no high fever I don't think that you should be tested for COVID 19.
In most cases the signs and symptoms of it are more severe and for a longer time. As you explain you are stable today. You just try to stay at home for some days as usually we all do when we have a common cold or a flu. Try to take a lot of liquids instead. COVID has several clinical pictures from the light ones to the most severe. So this might be a common flu in my opinion.
