Question: Hi , whenever I get stressed I get a cold sore on my lips . After two days I get one single painful lump near anus . It lasts for only one day and goes back in . Is it a cold sore near anus ? Or genital herpes ? .

Cold sores are oral herpes.

Genital herpes cannot present as a single lump, It always presents as slightly itchy water filled lesions.

Anal area is prone for other conditions like, Pilonidal sinus, Piles etc.
All these conditions present as painful lump.
The lump is initially transient but later becomes persistent.

I advice you to XXXXXXX a surgeon and get the peri anal area examined.

Its not a severe condition, so you dont need to worry.
You can XXXXXXX the doctor at your own convenience.
