Get Off Balance Feeling, Ear Is Full Of Wax, Painful And Itchy. ECHO Stress, ECG And Blood Test Normal. Advise?

Balance disturbance could be because of various reasons like---
1.Ear disease-- outer , middle, or inner ear or even because of the nerve passing near the ears.
2.Weakness
3.Electrolyte imbalance
4.Blood pressure high or even low
5.Blood Sugar fluctuations
6.Low blood sugar
7.Thyroid disorders
8. Heart problems etc
If you know you have wax, first of all consult ENT specialist and get the wax removed, The doctor may prescribe you some wax dissolving ears drops and then after 4- 5 days when the wax gets softened then it can be removed.
Then you need to get done---
Pure tone audiometry (hearing test)
Impedance audiometry (test for middle ear functions)
Few clinical tests for balance.
If required MRI Brain (to see for the nerves and brain )
Mostly due to ear disease there is rotatory feeling not off balance, but still ear disease needs to be ruled out first .
For systemic disease you need to get Blood sugars, blood pressures ,Serum Electrolytes , thyroid functions checked.
Get well soon.
If in doubt do reply.

If you have had your MRI Brain done and if it’s normal then you must consult a Neurophysician.
You can start with Multivitamins tablets and tablets that increase the microcirculation in the nerves, you can discuss then with your doctor, like pentoxyphyllin etc.
Secondly, you must start vestibular retraining exercises---
1. Keep your index finger in front of your eyes and then move the finger slowly right to left then left to right and follow it with your eyes keeping head still
2. Move head right to left and vice versa; up and down, slowly.
Do these exercises 3-4 times a day
Go for walk daily in the morning
Avoid smoking, tobacco chewing and alcohol: if you do so!
If there are balancing problem persisting then you may need vestibular sedatives like betahistine, after consulting your doctor and take them for short period only like for few days only.
If in doubt do reply,
