Getting Stinging Sensation When Passing Stools And Noticed Blood In It. Any Advice?
Question: Hi about a month ago i had one episode of Bright Red blood in the toilet which made the water pink or redish and on the toilet paper. it was a hard stool and had to work to get it out. felt a little stinging while i was pushing. now when i have hard stools i always feel the sharp stinging. i have also been having stomach gurgling mostly when i eat heavy or bad foods. was wondering if you have any advice. ive increased my fiber intake and have some gas problems sometimes worse than others
Hi
Bright red blood in the stools is usually from the anus.
Most common cause is piles(haemorrhoids).
If blood is associated with pain during passage of stools,it is Fissure in ano.It is a crack in the anal canal which is seen due to hard stools and is very painful.
Please take high fiber diet.
Drink plenty of liquids.
Your stool should be soft.Take Lactulose solution daily.
The stomach gurgling after eating heavy or bad foods is due to infection of the gastro intestinal infection. Please take antibiotic like ofloxacin and ornidazole, antispasmodic dicyclomine and pre and probiotic capsule.
Wish you good health
If you have any queries,i will clarify further

I guess the main thing i am worried about is colon cancer... i know i am young but cancer dont discriminate. i have not had another blood in stool incident since the one.
Hi
Haemorrhoids is the commonest cause of bleeding per rectum.
But,Colon cancer can also cause it.
If you want to exclude it,get COLONOSCOPY .It visualises the entire large bowel i.e.Colon.
Get it done and be free.
If you come back with Colonoscopy reports,i will clarify further
Wish you good health
