Good Morning, I Believe I Have A Hiatal Hernia And
Question: Good morning, I believe I have a hiatal hernia and last night I ate a tomato salad later than I normally do. I am an intermittent faster and usually finished eating at 7 pm. During the night I felt bloated, had fever, and my upper chest kept making gurgling sounds. I should add that I have not had a bowel movement in three days ( I usually have one daily). Any ideas?
Brief Answer:
Gastritis is possible.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you are having stomach hyperacidity which is causing the gurgling sound. Hiatal hernia may be a possible cause but you don't have all the symptoms of it.
You are possibly having gastritis. The fever may not be related to that.
Being constipated for three days may be possibly caused by the lack of fibers in your diet.
You can have kiwi, senna leaves or even use lactulose in order to help you with constipation.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
