Question: Good morning I have been on a course of amoxicillin 500. 3 times a day for Seven days for NSU but have noticed no significant improvement or is there another treatment you can recommend as I am no longer in the UK

Yes and partner is also visiting a physician, I have a slight discharge and some stinging when passing urine no other symptoms tests are in the uk and not to hand

In view of having discharge from urethra and stinging sensation while passing urine I would suggest you to get microscopic examination and culture of urethral discharge done ..This will help us to find out the organisms causing this infection and to take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report.
Give sample of urethral discharge for tests suggested and start taking Erithromycin twice daily and switch over to antibiotic as per culture report(After getting culture report)
Your partner may also need to take antibiotics .
Ensure to have protected sex or refrain from sexual activities till you get cured completely.
