Question: Good morning! My mother, who has dementia, is in a memory care facility. They have someone coming on 10/15 to offer flu shots.
Normally, she gets one every year. However, about 2 weeks ago, she was diagnosed with COVID. Is it safe for her to get the flu vaccine? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
She can take flu vaccine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
She can safely take flu vaccines as scheduled.
The COVID infection does not cause any adverse reaction or events after flu shot.
However if she is very weak, better to withhold the vaccine for few days.
Thanks
