Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome back on Ask a Doctor service!

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to local inflammation (musculoskeletal pain or costochondritis).

As the pain was triggered by body movements, it is sure that it is musculoskeletal skeletal pain.

The other symptoms like shivering, sweating, headaches could be related to premenstrual syndrome or just a light cold.

Coming to this point, there is no reason to worry about your heart.

I would just recommend using local warm packs and taking Tylenol or ibuprofen for the pain.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Wishing a nice weekend,

Dear XXXXXXX

I don't think that your symptoms are related to the heart.

So, in my opinion you don't need to perform any additional cardiac tests, as nothing seems to be wrong with your heart.

Hope to have clarified some of your uncertainties!

Dear XXXXXXX

Your symptoms seem to be typical of costochondritis.

Is the pain triggered by deep breathing or body movements?

Does the pressure on the chest trigger the pain?

These would be other arguments in favor of costochondritis.

Coming to this point, I would recommend adding ibuprofen to your therapy and having some rest.

But as a cardiologist, I would exclude any cardiac issues.

So, try not to think about it!

Hope to have clarified some of your uncertainties!

Wishing good health,

Brief Answer:
There is no need to perform any cardiac tests.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

The sharp chest pain that comes and goes is typical of local musculoskeletal pain.

While the pain in the arm, as it is tender to touch is typical of bursitis or tendinitis.

So, in my opinion your symptoms are not related to the heart and there is no reason to perform any cardiac tests.

I would just recommend taking ibuprofen, which will help against inflammation.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Please let me know about everything!

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are typical of TMJ inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Theresa!

Your symptoms seem to be related to TMJ inflammation.

Is the pain triggered by mouth opening or chewing? This would be indicative of TMJ pain, possibly local inflammation.

I don't think that your symptoms are related to the heart.

Ibuprofen can help against inflammation. From the other hand, avoiding hard food in the next days, will help too.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Please let me know about everything!

Wishing a pleasant weekend,

Dr. Iliri
