Got A Love Bite. How Long Will It Take To Cure?
Question: My junglee Girl friend gave me a love bite/hickey one week back. it has improved but for the last 2-3 days their is no improvement. how will this go away, can i do anything to expedite the recovery. it doesn't hurt or anything. it looks alot better in the picture today because of the flash and light but real time it is quite visible. pls advise

Love bites are nothing but bruises that develop due to extravasation of blood from blood vessels. Bruise or love bites usually takes 10 to 14 days to heal.
Nothing much can be done except to wait for it to heal spontaneously however below mentioned treatment is said to be helpful in recovery of bruises or love bites
Do hot fomentation of area
You may apply thrombophob ointment over the affected area or a vitamin c and vitamin k based cream or homeopathic medicine arnica XXXXXXX cream can also be tried( thrombophob ointment is easily available)
You may also let the lesion heal on its own and cover it cosmetically by applying a concealer over the area.
