Got A Slight Electric Shock. Should I Go To The Emergency Room?
Question: Hi doctor. I went to unplug a chord and as I was unplugging it, I got a slight electric shock. It only lasted about 2 or 3 seconds but I definitely felt it in my right arm and the right side of my chest. Should I go to the emergency room or am I ok? It happened about 10 minutes ago and I feel fine, just a little out of whack.
Hi,
Welcome to XXXXXXX
The reaction you experienced is part of the shock, which nearly everyone experiences due to passage of electric current through the body, which is high voltage than tolerable by the body and hence the reaction.
If there is no external wound at the fingers and the sites of pain, there is no need to worry.
WISHING YOU GOOD HEALTH,
Regards
