Got Bad Abscessed Tooth. Have Expired Penicillin Tablets. Is It Safe To Take?
Question: how many Penicillin VK 250 mg tablets should be taken each 24 hrs for a bad abcess tooth and is it XXXXXXX if they are out of date? please

Please do not self medicate with expired penicillin tablets as it could lead to a possible adverse or anaphylactic reaction .
The dose of Penicillin VK 250 is usually 1-2 tablets ( depending on the severity and type of infection ) every 6 hours ,ie 250 to 500 mg every 6 hours or 1-2 gm total in 24 hours.
You can always see your doctor as and when feasible . Apart from that maintain good oral hygiene , take warm saline gargles thrice daily for faster relief.
