Abdomen Scan results
Mild increased Cortical Echoes of B/L Kidneys
You are suffering from proteinuric kidney disease. The biopsy shows significant sclerosis and chronicity. It suggests that whatever process is there that has been there for long and has damaged the kidney. But since all the glomeruli were sclerosed in the sample, the exact diagnosis cannot be commented upon. Two more important reports are needed-
-urine routine finding to see number of RBC and
-ultrasound for kidney size (in cm) and echo texture.
-previous serum creatinine reports.
If the serum creatinine has been in the range of 2.0 for more than 2 months then only treatment is conservative management of CRF.
Include-
Diet control.
BP keep close to 120/80.
Control of calcium and phosphorus balance
Vaccination for Hep B.
Kindly provide above information for further comments.
Hope this helps.
pH : 7.0
RBC: 2-3/hpf
Pus Cells: 3-5/hpf
Protien: ++
Sugar : NIL
===================================
- ultrasound for kidney size (in cm) and echo texture
Right Kidney - 8.3 x 3.6 cm. Left Kidney 9.1 x 3.6 cm
Grade1 Increase in Cortical echogenicity noted Bilaterelly. Corticomedullary differentiation is accentuated.
Impression: Mild Increased Cortical Echoes of B/L Kidneys.

- previous serum creatinine reports.
Creatine: 2.3, 2.17 and it varies between 2.3 and 2.1 in 3 months.
Also please let me know, what would be the treatment for this? How long can i sustain?
Thanks for the input. You seem to be suffering from chronic glomerulonephritis and your creatinine is stable around 2.0 to 2.5
The 1+ or 2+ urine in protein is because of the chronic damage to the kidney. It is most likely to remain since the kidney function is compromised and it will remain like this. But don't worry; still the kidney is functioning enough to sustain good life.
You need to care about your diet and blood pressure. Control BP well, visit your nephrologist regularly perhaps at least once every two months and follow his/her advice religiously.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other queries.

- it says 11/11 glomerulli show global sclerosis.
I'd like to know, what would be the treatment (will it be medicines?) ? and how should i maintain the health so that i shouldn't reach End stage Kidney failure?
What are the dietery food that i should follow to eat to stabilize my strength?
1. What would be the treatment (will it be medicines?)
- The kidney is damaged by a disease process which has no treatment now. It is a permanent damage
2. And how should I maintain the health so that I shouldn't reach End stage Kidney failure?
- All patients WILL reach end stage disease; but the catch is that will it occur in 1 year or 10 year - nobody can predict it. The way out is to protect the remaining working portion of the kidney from bad influences like diet toxins, blood pressure, painkiller medicines, etc. By this the remaining kidney will last longer. If your creatinine remain in same range for more than a year, kidneys are likely to work maximum.
3. What are the dietery food that I should follow to eat to stabilize my strength?
- You have to avoid salt, juice, non-vegetarian, dry fruits, rest you can take, you CAN TAKE pulses and egg also.
Hope this answers all your queries.
