HI Doctor, In Mid August I Have Applied Garlic Paste

Question: HI Doctor,

In mid august I have applied garlic paste on the pimples on my forehead (not an intelligent thing to do but unfortunately I did that stupid mistake). I stay in Vienna so I have approached a dermatologist over here and he has recommended a serum and a gel of the brand mesoestetic to cure the hyperpigmentation caused by the burn. PFB,

1. Melan Tran3X (mesoestetic)
2. melanogel touch.

It has gotten better compared to what it was 2 months ago. Since Doctors here don't have much experience with darker skin types i would like to know your expert opinion.

Should I continue this treatment or should I need to go for some procedure.

Please let me know .

Regards,

Brief Answer:
Hyperpigmentation

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

The products you are using are used to treat pigmentation. So they seem fine to me Ypu can contjnue with those. In addition to those I would suggest you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen during the day.

Hope I have answered your query.Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Brief Answer:
Regarding pigmentation

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
thank you.
I have viewed the image.
It would improve gradually i.e would take time( may be 4-6 months). Since you are already taking the treatment you can continue with those creams for a month and see how it goes. If they do not help much you can then take a few sessions of chemical peeling and/ or use a cream with ingredients like kojic acid, glycolic acid, hydroquinone etc.
Take care
